Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students and school communities as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity is located in Rhode Island and offers either part-time or full-time scheduling, aligning with the 2026-2027 school calendar (start and end dates are tentative and will follow the finalized calendar). School Psychologists will work in an in-person setting, providing expertise and dedicated support for student learning, behavior, and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must meet all Rhode Island state requirements for School Psychologists, including current, active licensure.
- Previous experience in educational settings strongly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student success.
- Strong communication and evaluation skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and assessments.
- Provide counseling services to students as indicated in their IEPs or as needed.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support individualized learning plans and behavioral interventions.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Adapt to varying caseloads per school needs; specific details to be discussed during the interview process.
