Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by supporting students from birth to age five. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for school psychologists ready to contribute their expertise over an 11-month period, starting July 6, 2026, and running through June 11, 2027. Youll be working across multiple locations in the Salem/South Marion County and Yamhill County area, offering specialized support in a collaborative school setting.

What were looking for:

  • Valid Oregon School Psychologist (OR PSYCH) license, current and in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience in early childhood or preschool-aged settings, ideally with children birth to 5
  • Strong assessment, observational, and counseling skills related to early childhood development
  • Excellent communication abilities, with a focus on collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to manage multiple sites and adapt to a variety of early learning environments

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct formal and informal psychological evaluations for children ages birth-5
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to early childhood developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with classroom staff, specialists, and families to create supportive learning plans
  • Consult and provide recommendations for behavioral, social, emotional, and academic challenges
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, write comprehensive reports, and contribute to IEP or IFSP processes as required
  • Provide training for staff and parents on relevant supports and resources
