This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist interested in providing compassionate and expert support within a collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a School Psychologist in North Carolina
- Experience in administering evaluations, assessments, and developing intervention plans for students
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and consultation skills for working with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop appropriate interventions and instructional strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss evaluation results, recommendations, and student progress
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral supports when necessary
- Support the implementation and monitoring of IEPs, 504 plans, and RTI processes
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
