Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school setting near Winchester, VA. As a School Psychologist, youll collaborate with educators, families, and school leaders to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This position offers a full-time schedule with 37.5 hours weekly, starting July 27th, 2026, and concluding May 28th, 2027.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current and active Virginia Psychologist License is required
- Previous experience working in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of assessment techniques, multi-tiered systems of support, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education services
- Participate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and eligibility processes
- Provide direct and indirect counseling and intervention services for students to address academic, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement strategies for student success
- Offer prevention, crisis response, and consultation services throughout the school community
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation for all services rendered
