A school district in Wilmington, DE is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-8 students, primarily at the elementary level. This onsite contract position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to the academic and emotional well-being of children within a structured school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students in grades K-8 to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to state and district guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Delaware School Psychologist license is required.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children within a school setting.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 30+ hours per week effectively.
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations.
Location: Wilmington, Delaware this role requires onsite presence to foster direct engagement with students and school staff.
