Job Description

Take your expertise as a school psychologist to the next level with a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting. This onsite position focuses on delivering essential psychological services ranging from assessment and intervention to collaboration with educational teams. With a consistent full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, you'll provide specialized support to either 7th8th grade junior high or K4 elementary students, ensuring they have the resources to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This role spans the academic year, from August 18, 2026 through June 4, 2027. You'll experience the satisfaction of making a genuine impact while enjoying the camaraderie of a dedicated school community.

Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist license (PSYCH IL) required
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and participate in IEP/504 processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning
  • Support students emotional, behavioral, and academic development through counseling and evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement effective support plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or 504 plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and promote positive behavioral supports as needed
