Job Description

Discover a rewarding opportunity for the upcoming 2026-27 school year as a School Psychologist serving K-12 students onsite in a supportive school community. This full-time contract role offers 40 hours per week with shifts likely ranging from 7:00 AM3:00 PM or 8:30 AM4:30 PM, depending on school assignments. The caseload will be tailored through discussions with hiring personnel during the interview process.

In this role, youll use your expertise to identify students with educational disabilities and determine eligibility for Special Education services. As an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team, you may also collaborate with the schools Intervention, Safety, Building, or District Crisis Teams. Your leadership in developing targeted behavior and academic intervention plans will guide teachers, parents, and students toward positive outcomes. Providing vital school-based counseling and serving as a knowledgeable resource for staff, students, and families will be central to your impact.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nebraska School Psychologist license (required)
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Knowledge of assessment practices and intervention strategies
  • Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary and crisis response teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to support Special Education eligibility determinations
  • Collaborate in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary, intervention, safety, or crisis teams as needed
  • Provide school-based counseling for students in need
  • Serve as a resource and advisor for staff, students, and parents
