Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting preschool students as a School Psychologist in the area near West Hartford, CT. This position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a predictable Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Youll work with a vibrant and curious preschool-age population, providing vital psychological services within an educational setting. Your expertise will help foster a supportive learning environment and promote each childs emotional and academic well-being.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid CT PSYCH license required
  • Experience in school psychology, especially working with early childhood or preschool-aged children
  • Familiarity with conducting assessments, creating behavioral plans, and contributing to IEP teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt psychological strategies to meet the diverse needs of young learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services to preschool students
  • Complete assessments and evaluations to inform and develop IEPs
  • Consult with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to implement effective interventions
  • Facilitate group or individual counseling as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and recommend best practices for student growth
  • Maintain thorough, confidential student records in accordance with district and state requirements
