A contract position is available for a skilled School Psychologist in West Columbia, SC. This role focuses on supporting the educational and emotional needs of students within a school setting, collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to promote a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students educational and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to support student success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans.
- Maintain detailed records and comply with relevant laws and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in South Carolina.
- Experience with conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school community.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education and student services.
