Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-8 students throughout the full 2026-2027 academic year as a School Psychologist. This role is based in the Waukegan and Gurnee, IL area and focuses on delivering critical psychological services within school settings. Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychology endorsement is required
- Prior school-based experience is highly valued
- Expertise in student testing, evaluations, and comprehensive assessments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting K-8 populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and manage evaluation processes for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to facilitate student growth
- Provide consultative support regarding student behavior, learning needs, and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate, detailed records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
