Job Description
A full-time School Psychologist position is available at a K-8 school in Waukegan, IL. This opportunity offers a contract role for the National School Year (NSY) and requires an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) as a school psychologist. The position involves working onsite, supporting students with psychological assessments, interventions, and consultation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide counseling and behavioral support services to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote positive academic and social-emotional outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and review processes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Psychology
- Experience working with K-8 students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong assessment and counseling skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently
- Bilingual skills are a plus and highly valued
- Commitment to working onsite 37.5 hours per week
