Make a meaningful impact as a School Psychologist in the Virginia Beach area with a dedicated full-time, on-site contract opportunity for the academic year. This role is ideal for a skilled professional passionate about supporting students learning, development, and psychological well-being in an educational environment. With a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week, youll collaborate with a diverse team to evaluate needs, provide direct support, and foster positive outcomes for students of varying ages.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) licensure
• Active Psychology License for the state of Virginia
• Experience working in a school setting as a School Psychologist preferred
• Strong assessment, consultation, intervention, and counseling skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to remaining fully on-site (no virtual or hybrid assignments)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for services
• Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to educational teams and families
• Develop and support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide crisis intervention and consultative services as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students' academic and emotional needs
• Serve as a resource for staff regarding psychological and developmental concerns
• Adapt to the evolving needs of the district, including flexibility in assigned schools and caseload
