Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current School Psychologist certification (Illinois)
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and interpreting data
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and inclusive support
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and academic assessments for students in need of evaluation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Support a positive school climate through consultation, counseling, and evidence-based practices
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
- Document services, recommendations, and evaluations according to district and legal guidelines
- Advocate for student well-being and promote mental health awareness within the school setting
