Job Description

This contract position is based near Vacaville, CA and centers on conducting essential evaluations and assessments, with a primary focus on preschool populations but scope to serve district-wide needs. With a manageable, single-school caseload, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, families, and educational teams throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential
  • Experience conducting assessments and evaluations in school settings
  • Familiarity with preschool-aged student assessments highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of eligibility rules and special education processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseload needs and support across grade levels as required
  • Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and testing to support student eligibility and services
  • Focus largely on preschool evaluations but participate in district-wide assessments as assigned
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to interpret results and inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct consultation to staff and families regarding students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive, productive school climate, empowering students to reach their potential
