This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, focusing on providing essential psychological services to K-12 students. In this role, you'll bring your expertise and compassion to a supportive school environment, helping to foster student growth and well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist license in South Carolina (School Psych II required)
- Proven experience conducting evaluations and assessments within a K-12 setting
- Strong knowledge of education laws, FAPE, IEP process, and special education best practices
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and educational assessments for students as needed
- Analyze assessment data and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in eligibility and placement meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student support
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families, addressing behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to state and federal guidelines
- Support crisis intervention efforts and recommend evidence-based strategies for improved student outcomes
