Step into a dynamic, impactful role supporting students as an itinerant bilingual school psychologist serving multiple campuses in the San Juan Capistrano area of southern California. This rewarding contract position allows you to make a tangible difference by conducting assessments for a diverse K-12 student population, with a special focus on bilingual evaluations. Your expertise in both psychology and bilingual assessment will be highly valued, contributing meaningfully to student success across several schools.
Your schedule offers flexibility, with part-time hours spanning 23 days per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through early June 2027. This on-site position invites you to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals in an engaging educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in School Psychology (or related field)
- Valid PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential, School Psychologist authorization required
- Bilingual proficiency, with significant experience in performing bilingual assessments
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to travel between local school assignments as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, with an emphasis on bilingual evaluations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and well-being
- Interpret and communicate assessment results, participating in IEP meetings and eligibility determinations
- Provide consultative support for intervention and progress monitoring
- Travel between assigned schools as an itinerant service provider
