Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited program in school psychology or related field
  • Valid Arizona school psychologist license
  • Current fingerprint IVP card, as required by Arizona state laws
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings, supporting diverse student populations
  • Ability to adapt services across elementary, middle, and high school environments
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills
  • Knowledge of current special education laws, testing and assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
  • Develop and implement intervention and support plans, collaborating closely with educators, administration, and families
  • Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for eligibility for special education and related services
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention when necessary, supporting students mental health and well-being
  • Serve as an active participant in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with state and federal education guidelines
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to plan academic and behavioral interventions
  • Promote inclusive practices, advocating for students best interests and educational access
