Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a skilled school psychologist through a rewarding contract opportunity near Tucson, AZ. Work collaboratively with elementary, middle, and high school educators and families to promote positive educational experiences and student success.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited program in school psychology or related field
- Valid Arizona school psychologist license
- Current fingerprint IVP card, as required by Arizona state laws
- Experience working in K-12 school settings, supporting diverse student populations
- Ability to adapt services across elementary, middle, and high school environments
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills
- Knowledge of current special education laws, testing and assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention strategies
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Develop and implement intervention and support plans, collaborating closely with educators, administration, and families
- Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for eligibility for special education and related services
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention when necessary, supporting students mental health and well-being
- Serve as an active participant in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with state and federal education guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to plan academic and behavioral interventions
- Promote inclusive practices, advocating for students best interests and educational access
