Job Description

Step into a fulfilling role supporting students across multiple schools as a School Psychologist on a contract basis, starting August 2026. Working full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, youll play an essential part in shaping the educational and emotional experiences of elementary and middle school students throughout a vibrant district encompassing 12 different sites.

Bring your expertise to an itinerant position, providing both assessment and counseling to a diverse caseload, collaborating with dedicated educators and families, and contributing to comprehensive support plans for student success.

Qualifications

  • Valid and current NY PSYCH license (required)
  • Experience or interest in working across elementary and middle school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and develop individualized recommendations
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being and learning
  • Assist in crisis intervention and response as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
