Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist for the 2026-2027 academic year. On-site professionals are needed to work with students across multiple schools, with one position centered at an elementary school and another serving an itinerant role covering a cluster of private schools. This engaging assignment spans from August through late May, with the potential for extension into both the extended and next school years based on performance and funding.
Candidates must be available for on-site interviews scheduled for April 27, 2026. A strong, active Alabama school psychology license is required, and candidates should be ready to provide clear images of their credentials as part of the application process. Experience working in educational settings with diverse student populationsranging from kindergarten to high schoolis highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Alabama school psychology license (or ASDOE Psychometrist certification)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based psychological services or educational assessments (K-12 focus)
- Willingness and ability to work across multiple school sites, including travel between locations as needed
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable with on-site service delivery exclusively
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments per student needs
- Advise and support multidisciplinary teams in developing effective academic and behavioral interventions
- Provide direct consultation to educators and families regarding student learning and mental health needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all district and state reporting requirements
- Support special education eligibility, IEP development, and progress monitoring
