A school district in Taylor, MI is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join their educational team under a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social-emotional development of students within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and learning challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support student well-being
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Promote a positive school climate and assist in crisis management
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid school psychologist certification or licensure as required by the state
- Experience with psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in psychology practice
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
