Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist in New Mexico
  • Demonstrated experience conducting psychological and academic assessments
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional issues
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to ethical and culturally competent practice

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and needs
  • Interpret assessment results for educational planning and placement
  • Consult with educators and families to develop effective interventions and strategies
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and 504 meetings as a member of the support team
  • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of behavior management plans
