Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid School Psychologist certification
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Previous experience in K12 educational settings strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of evaluation procedures, IEP development, and special education compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and social/emotional functioning
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to help determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop and support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative support to students developing self-regulation and coping skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a positive, inclusive school environment
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with local and federal education guidelines
