Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Current and valid Nevada school psychologist license
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility and intervention planning
- Consult with educators and parents to develop strategies that address students' individual needs
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP teams
- Support crisis intervention and provide recommendations for student safety and well-being
- Foster positive school climates that promote mental health and effective learning
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines in practice
