Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Virginia Psychologist License (VA Psych License).
  • Experience or training as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and data interpretation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students individually and in groups.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Support the creation of positive, inclusive school climates.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and attend relevant meetings as needed.
