A valid Minnesota school psychologist license and a masters degree in school psychology are required, ensuring you have the skills to advocate for students well-being and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in school psychology (required)
- Valid MN school psychologist licensure (required)
- Experience serving elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong knowledge of special education procedures, MTSS/RTI, and IEP/504 development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students
- Provide direct counseling support and crisis intervention
- Collaborate with teachers and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Participate in problem-solving teams and provide input on academic/behavioral interventions
- Promote a positive school climate by supporting students emotional and behavioral needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
