Job Description

A School Psychologist opportunity is available in Sterling Heights, MI, offering a contract position for the remainder of the school year. This role is ideal for fully licensed Michigan School Psychologists interested in providing specialized psychological services within a school environment. The position requires an onsite commitment, serving students primarily at the secondary level with some elementary cases included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to support student learning and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to address student behavioral and academic concerns.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Fully licensed Michigan School Psychologist credential.
  • Experience working with secondary school students, with some familiarity with elementary-level cases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to perform in-person interviews and work onsite in accordance with school policies.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is based in Sterling Heights, MI.
  • Contract duration: ASAP start through end of the school year (June 5, 2026).
  • Work week consists of 37.5 hours.
