Step into a dynamic contract position supporting students, educators, and families in the Winchester, VA area. As a School Psychologist, you'll make a meaningful difference throughout the academic year, providing expert evaluations and interventions that foster student success. This full-time opportunity offers a set schedule of 37.5 hours per week, running from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027.
Ideal candidates will bring a compassionate, collaborative approach and a strong understanding of best practices in school psychology.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold an active Virginia Psychologist License
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with diverse student populations and a variety of assessment tools
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Commitment to ethical practices and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive learning environments
- Provide crisis intervention and evidence-based counseling services to students
- Participate in problem-solving teams and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
