Step into an essential role supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success of students throughout a dynamic school district for the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by providing expertise as a School Psychologist, working district-wide and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Background:
- Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
- Current Nebraska Special Services Certificate or eligibility to obtain one
- Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement, or reciprocity eligibility
- Deep understanding of IDEA, special education eligibility criteria, and IEP development
- Proven experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and detailed report writing
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Track record of effective collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Carry out thorough psychoeducational assessments to help determine special education eligibility
- Work as a valued member of Multidisciplinary Teams to interpret data and recommend interventions
- Support development and implementation of IEPs by sharing assessment insights
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families regarding academic challenges and behavioral concerns
- Assist in designing behavioral intervention plans and learning supports
- Build strong partnerships with outside agencies, medical professionals, and support organizations
- Develop and facilitate crisis intervention programs district-wide
- Deliver individualized support and consultation to students, families, and staff
- Ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
- Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance expertise
