A rewarding opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students across multiple educational settings in Stamford, CT. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with diverse student populations, providing in-person assessments and participating actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Flexibility is key, as caseloads may fluctuate based on evolving school needs, and travel between schools will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and in-person assessments for students across grades K-12
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans
- Participating in and contributing to IEP meetings to advocate for student learning and well-being
- Managing a flexible caseload, adaptable to changes in student needs and school requirements
- Facilitating communication between staff and families to promote positive student outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Eligibility for or holding a Connecticut School Psychologist Certification
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with diverse teams
- Openness to travel between different school locations within the district
