Job Description

Help support elementary students growth and well-being in a dynamic educational environment as a School Psychologist for a contract position just outside Springfield, TN. Youll collaborate with faculty and families to empower students, providing critical support through comprehensive assessments, interventions, and data-driven recommendations. As part of a dedicated team, your expertise will enhance the academic, social, and emotional success of young learners.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children is highly valued
  • Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention
  • Knowledge of special education regulations and IEP development
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities
  • Ability to travel between two school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility and planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student success
  • Support crisis intervention and offer social/emotional support for students
  • Help design and implement academic and behavioral interventions
  • Facilitate training or workshops to support staff in meeting students needs
