A school district in Springfield, OR is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working closely with students, educators, and families to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students through comprehensive psychological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to assist in the identification of student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and interventions to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to decision-making processes affecting student progress.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Offer consultation and training to staff on strategies to support student well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting educational and psychological assessments.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
