Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a school psychologist (or eligibility for certification in the state)
- Masters or higher degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Strong knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and special education regulations
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, FBA, and development of IEPs/504 plans
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and families
- Experience in school-based settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to assist in determining eligibility for special education services
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, staff, and parents regarding students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to improve student outcomes
- Participate in the creation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans
- Crisis intervention and support as needed
- Advocate for students needs while fostering inclusive and supportive school climates
