Job Description

Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a School Psychologist, making a direct impact on elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade. In this contract role based near Spring Hill, KS, you'll collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and student support teams throughout the academic yearfrom July 30th through June 2nd. This is an onsite-only position at this time.

Your expertise will be essential in driving positive outcomes for students, whether that's through the daily problem-solving process, partnering on the Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams, or providing the specialized evaluation and services central to Individualized Education Programs (IEP). You'll be a valued contributor to a building team devoted to the growth and well-being of every child.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Prior experience or training working with early childhood and elementary school populations
  • Strong understanding of IEP procedures and assessment tools
  • Effective communicator, comfortable leading meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to participate proactively in crisis management and intervention planning

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and re-evaluations for IEPs, delivering clear, actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, counseling staff, and parents to develop and implement targeted student support strategies
  • Serve as a core member of the Student Intervention Team and Building Crisis Team
  • Facilitate problem-solving meetings and provide intervention recommendations
  • Help foster a supportive, inclusive school environment for students and staff alike
