This contract role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a dynamic, educational environment and enjoy making a difference across K12 campuses. On-site presence is required, and candidates must be available for full-time hours.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and current Alabama School Psychologist license (must provide documentation)
• Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
• Ability to work across K12 age groups and adjust to varying caseloads
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
• Flexibility to travel between assigned campuses, as placement may be itinerant according to district needs
• Solid communication and collaboration abilities with students, faculty, and families
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations and testing for students in grades K12 as assigned
• Provide support and recommendations to teachers, staff, and parents based on assessment outcomes
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized interventions and strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as the school year progresses
• Ensure confidential and accurate record-keeping in compliance with district and state requirements
• Respond to urgent needs and contribute to crisis response efforts as part of the school support team

This full-time opportunity begins October 1, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, with a potential for renewal into Extended School Year (ESY) and the next school year, pending performance and district needs.
