Job Description

This on-site contract role is conveniently located near Spanish Fort, AL, with assignments throughout the Mobile area. This position will begin October 1, 2026, and continue through May 26, 2027, with potential for renewal based on performance, extending into both the summer session and next school year.

Youll have the chance to support a diverse student population while collaborating with district staff and families. Caseloads and specific school assignments will be finalized closer to the start date, and may vary based on testing needs.

What you bring:

  • Active Alabama School Psychologist license (documentation required)
  • Previous experience in K-12 educational settings
  • Comfort traveling to various schools within the district as needed
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support personnel
  • Professionalism and reliability in an on-site role

What youll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and provide written reports
  • Support teams in eligibility and placement decisions for special education services
  • Recommend interventions and strategies to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Consult with educators, administrators, and families to improve student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing support for students across grade levels
  • Maintain accurate records and safeguard student confidentiality
