Job Description

Step into a pivotal education role supporting K12 students through direct psychological and assessment services in a thriving Alabama school community. This contract opportunity calls for dedicated School Psychologists or Psychometrists to provide integral support to students at either a single elementary campus or as itinerant staff across a cluster of private schools. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to May 26, 2027, with a strong likelihood of extension for Extended School Year (ESY) and following school terms based on performance and funding.

On-site presence is essential. All candidates must be available for in-person interviews on April 27, 2026. Reliability, adaptability, and a passion for student-centered practice are key to success in these roles.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid Alabama school psychology license (license documentation must be provided)
  • Experience with K12 populations, ideally within a school district or multi-site environment
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
  • Able to adapt to itinerant scheduling, if assigned
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with faculty, families, and administrators
  • Professionalism and organization in meeting credentialing requirements on a deadline

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychoeducational assessments and prepare comprehensive reporting
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
  • Support IEP and eligibility processes as needed
  • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention if required
