Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid State of Michigan School Psychologist Certification (or eligibility)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling abilities
- Familiarity with IEP process and special education compliance
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a variety of psychological and academic assessments for students
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support services as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for student growth
- Participate actively in special education eligibility meetings, individual education planning, and student support team meetings
- Offer expertise in behavioral intervention and positive behavioral supports
- Support the school community with training on mental health topics and student well-being
