Job Description
This contract position for a School Psychologist is available to support varied K-12 schools in the Mishawaka, IN area, beginning immediately and continuing through June 4, 2026. The role offers consistent hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Ideal candidates will have experience conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with educators and families, and developing individualized intervention plans tailored to students needs across all grade levels. Flexibility and strong communication skills are essential to effectively serve diverse school populations and contribute to the educational success and well-being of students.
Key Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a School Psychologist with relevant licensure or certification
- Proven ability to administer and interpret formal psychological and educational assessments
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings
- Knowledge of special education laws and IDEA regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach with school staff, parents, and community resources
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families
- Assist in behavioral intervention planning and crisis management
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
