Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students and school communities as a full-time school psychologist. This contract opportunity is based in the vibrant Chattanooga area, with assignments across various campuses beginning August 5, 2026 and concluding May 19, 2027. Your week will be structured around a 35-hour schedule, with specific campus assignments and caseload information to be shared as they are finalized by district leadership.
As a valued school psychologist, your expertise will help shape students educational, emotional, and behavioral success. If you require a flexible arrangement, the district is open to considering a 4-day onsite/1-day remote hybrid work schedule for highly qualified candidates with specified needs and an appropriate background.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Department of Education (DOE) certification in School Psychology
- Completion of state-required fingerprint background check (time-sensitive)
- Experience working with diverse student populations across varied age groups is a plus
- Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills within a school environment
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, consultations, and evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students academic and behavioral needs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and student support programs
- Provide crisis response and participate in the development of prevention programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards
