Job Description

Responsibilities in this position include conducting assessments, providing counseling and behavioral support, and collaborating with educators and families to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You'll have the chance to nurture a diverse caseloadprimarily PreK children, with occasional involvement from programs serving Hispanic and low-income families. Flexibility is built in, as both full-time and part-time schedules are considered.

To be considered for this position, youll need:

  • Valid Delaware School Psychologist certification
  • Experience or passion for working with preschool and early elementary-aged students
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practices and supporting a diverse student population

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results
  • Providing direct services to students such as counseling and skill-building
  • Leading or participating in team meetings for special education services
  • Consulting with teachers and parents to develop support strategies
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to all compliance requirements
