Job Description

A school-based position is available for an experienced School Psychologist to provide essential services to Pre-K through 2nd grade students, with occasional responsibilities involving high school students. The majority of your time will be spent making a difference at the elementary level, as assessment needs at the high school are limited. This contract position spans the 20262027 academic year, with a weekly commitment of 3035 hours.

Qualifications and Preferred Background:

  • Valid TN School Psychologist license required
  • Previous experience working within Pre-K through high school populations is preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills with students, educators, and families
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and diverse student groups
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive school cultures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to create individualized plans that best support student needs
  • Deliver crisis intervention and counseling as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality per district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, offering insights and advocating for student well-being
  • Provide consultation to school staff to improve academic, social, and emotional outcomes
