Job Description

This position runs ASAP through June 6, 2025, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week (8:45 am 3:45 pm). Enjoy flexibility, as caseloads and assignments are negotiable based on your preferences and strengths.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia School Psychologist License
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and diagnostic testing within school settings
  • Ability to provide both individual and group counseling or therapy for students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skillsto work effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals
  • Knowledge of behavior intervention and modification strategies
  • High level of organization for maintaining student records and producing detailed progress reports

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations for students
  • Recommend action plans to enhance students learning experiences and support their social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Deliver both individual and group therapeutic services
  • Collaborate in the identification and placement process for students requiring additional support
  • Develop and implement behavior modification techniques
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely progress updates
  • Communicate effectively with families and educational staff
