Job Description

Step into an essential role supporting students growth and success as a School Psychologist in the region near Skandia, MI. This full-time, contract opportunity provides the chance to make a meaningful impact across K-12 settings, working a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. As a valued member of the school community, youll deliver assessment, consultation, and intervention services to students, collaborate with educational staff, and help foster a positive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology
  • Valid State of Michigan School Psychologist certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience working with K-12 populations, including the administration and interpretation of educational evaluations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and educational assessments for students to inform Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to develop plans that promote student success
  • Consult with school staff and families to recommend and implement strategies for supporting students behavioral and learning needs
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support
  • Help develop and monitor interventions to address academic and emotional concerns in collaboration with educators
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for special education
