Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (State of Alaska or eligibility for certification)
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Previous experience in K-12 settings is highly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to positive school climate
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological and academic assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings, IEP development, and ongoing student progress reviews
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support effective interventions
- Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and ethical guidelines
