A school district in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to support students across multiple grade levels. This contract position primarily serves students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 within the school setting. The role requires collaboration with educators, parents, and staff to promote the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to assist in identifying learning and behavioral needs
- Develop individualized intervention plans and provide consultation to teachers and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to eligibility decisions for special education services
- Offer counseling and support services tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid School Psychologist license in South Dakota
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Flexible with caseload management to meet the unique needs of the school community
- Intern candidates with relevant training and supervision will be considered
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Experience working in South Dakota schools is considered an advantage
