Job Description

A School Psychologist position is available in Shakopee, MN, offering an opportunity to provide critical support within an educational setting. This contract role involves working closely with students, educators, and families to promote mental health, learning, and behavioral success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to decision-making regarding student services.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results.
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions.
  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
