Job Description

This full-time position for a School Psychologist is available in a K-12 school setting in Schenectady, NY. The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), providing an excellent opportunity to support student development and well-being within a structured educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30-40 students across various grade levels.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and provide interventions to support students academic and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and offer counseling services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure compliance with state and district policies.
  • Provide onsite services during regular school hours from 8:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid New York State School Psychologist Certification is required.
  • Proven experience working with K-12 students in school-based settings.
  • Strong knowledge of state and district-specific requirements relating to student psychological services.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Ability to work onsite and engage directly with students, staff, and families.
