Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Illinois
  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting evaluations, assessments, and eligibility determinations
  • Solid understanding of IEP process and special education law
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Prior experience in K-12 schools is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychoeducational assessments using a variety of tools
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective strategies for student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
  • Provide direct counseling or intervention services to students, as needed
  • Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide staff training on relevant topics
  • Document all services and maintain accurate student records
  • Support a positive, inclusive school climate for diverse learners
