Step into a rewarding role serving K-12 students as a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to support a diverse district near Salem, OR, working district-wide to ensure students receive essential evaluations and continued care. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you will make a positive impact, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to create an enriching, supportive environment for all students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid and current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience performing assessments and evaluations in K-12 educational settings
- Strong understanding of special education processes, IEP development, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to travel within the district as needed
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and functional behavior assessments
- Evaluate students cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement interventions
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing informed recommendations
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Provide crisis support, prevention, and consultation to staff and families
