A reputable educational institution in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support students' mental health and educational development within a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to support students emotional well-being.
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute professional insights.
- Maintaining detailed records and writing clear, concise reports on student progress and recommendations.
- Promoting a positive school climate through advocacy, consultation, and prevention programs.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Proven experience conducting assessments and psychological evaluations within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of educational laws, special education processes, and mental health practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
