Job Description

A contract position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist to support the parentally placed private school team serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is based in the Jacksonville area, with assignments in a flexible mix of in-person and virtual settings, providing an excellent opportunity to impact students across varied learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to evaluate student needs and determine appropriate referrals.
  • Assist with reviewing evaluation results and support teams and parents in understanding findings.
  • Contribute to eligibility meetings and collaborate on Individualized Education Program (IEP) development as needed.
  • Conduct evaluations at the district office and manage report writing and documentation.
  • Support a caseload of K-12 students with communication and speech-language needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Flexibility to work three days per week with potential scheduling variations.

Location: Jacksonville area, Florida, serving parentally placed private schools with some work conducted at the district office.

Schedule and Duration:

  • Contract position lasting from January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026.
  • Approximately three days per week; specific hours to be confirmed.
  • Flexible schedule with a blend of virtual meetings, in-person evaluations, and remote report writing.
